This is an image of a White Rose in my Grandma's backyard named Iceberg.

f Working with Transparent yellow, add it wet on dry and soften the edges as shown, OR wet the shape with clear water and drop in Transparent Yellow to get the edges as shown to the left....

Now with a LIGHT amount of Thalo Blue add wet on dry and soften as shown, soften with a clean damp brush.

Continuing on with Thalo Blue, add it as shown, on the background we added it wet on dry and kept it moving. In other areas I added it wet on dry and softened the edges, for instance the lower right hand corner. Most of the areas were slightly damp and I dropped in some color to get the lightness and softness of the color and edges.

Working with Permanent Rose add a thin amount wet on dry and soften out the edges as shown. I worked around the center of the rose.

Now working on the center of the rose I wet the entire center shape with a thin amount of Permanent Rose and then as it started to dry dropped in more Perm Rose as shown.

Now working on the right hand side background, I wet the background with Hooker's Green and while it was wet I dropped in Thalo Blue to deepen the values as shown.

Once dry, I added wet on dry a thin amount of darks (indanthrene blue, indigo and neutral tint) VERY thin and then softened the shapes of the petals as shown

Once dry I added some accent parts to the petals with more darks, and then went over the background with a thin glaze of the darks as shown.

This is what the image looked like after I added Transparent Yellow all over the image as shown. See how the yellow really warmed up the whole image, it really has a warm glow.

Once dry I added Permanent Rose all over as shown to crisp up the edges and give the feeling of depth to the rose petals.

Once dry I then added Thalo Blue to the petals for clarity, sharpness and to define the depth of the rose. Notice I also added some to the center of the rose to start the "parts"
